Lapband Case Study

Jennifer was 26 and at 500 pounds and could only dream of having a child. During an evaluation for infertility she was discovered to have a form of cancer of the lining of the uterus known to be related to obesity. One year after an adjustable gastric banding procedure she weighed 275 pounds, and all sign of the cancer had disappeared. She was able to become pregnant about 6 months later.
