Laparoscopic Procedures
In laparoscopic surgery incisions in the skin and muscles of the belly needed to gain access to the organs inside are made as small as possible. In this way pain and complications after surgery are much reduced. Breathing and coughing is easier. The need for strong pain medications is far less so the drowsiness and unsteadiness they cause are virtually eliminated. It is possible to return to normal activities in a fraction of the time necessary after regular surgery. Once healed, the scars are difficult to see, and being small are much less likely to develop into an incisional hernia.
